Ronald Franks added some punch to the Portland offense, helping them outmuscle the Green Day Dukes, 10-7. In the game, Franks, who is tied for 8th in the MC with a .317 batting average, belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The winner was Portland reliever Vernon Moore, now 3-1. The loser was Sam Sherborne. The victory puts Portland at 16-25.

Edgardo Rodriguez was the walk-off hero for Portland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Decepticons designated hitter hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.

Rodriguez expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
