The Hollywood B's got a good effort from starter Emmanuel Bianchi in defeating the Hawaii Hounddogs at Graceland Park. The final score was 3-2. Bianchi got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Bianchi allowed 1 run. Earning his 1st save for Hollywood was Joe Pinches.

The result might have been different for Hollywood, had it not been for Erik Valentin, the 30-year old center fielder . Valentin stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Hollywood up, 3-0. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Hollywood skipper Keith Grace. "I can't complain."

The B's, now 3-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
