Chicago and Phoenix duked it out and the Winds came out victorious.

The Chicago Winds grabbed a win, 8-6, over the Phoenix Autobots at Ballpark of Arizona. Chicago left fielder Ken Sackett was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Steve Kepler sewed up the save, his 13th.

The Winds benefited from a costly error in the top of the seventh. With Arthur Strickland at bat and Chicago leading 7-6, the Phoenix miscue allowed Chicago to plate 1 and take the lead, 8-6.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Strickland, "but we got it done."

The Winds improve their record to 21-24 with the win over Phoenix.
