New York and Los Angeles took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the New York Cobra and the Los Angeles Shockers. New York won it, 2-0. New York starter Nick Murphy was in command. Murphy picked up the win for New York, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. Douglas Murphy got credit for the save for New York. It was his 12th of the year.
