Knights Defeat Gamblers, 7-6
The New York Knights downed the Las Vegas Gamblers, 7-6. The hitting star was shortstop Jeff Peterson. Peterson was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Knights. Ernesto Cantu snagged the win in relief. In 2.2 innings, the right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit. He's now 3-0 on the season. Earning his 1st save of the year was Anastasio Carrara.

Peterson had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-2 fastball from Alejandro Chavarria, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Knights a 7-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Peterson.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Peterson.

With the win, New York upped its record to 25-20.
