Getting a good performance from left fielder Bubba Donaldson, the Charlotte Hawks defeated the Chicago Winds, 7-3. Donaldson was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Hawks. Charlotte has now won 7 straight.

In the bottom of the sixth, Charlotte shortstop William Auger put his team on top. With one out and the bases loaded, he hit his 4th double of the year. Chicago pitcher Rob McCullough served it up. Just like that, the Hawks were ahead, 5-3.
