New York Grounds was the site for Superior Conference action featuring the New York Knights and Louisville Sluggers.

Louisville Sluggers starter Feng-yi Kung pitched a strong game against the New York Knights at New York Grounds, leading the Sluggers to victory, 8-2. Kung went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-3.

Louisville used a well-timed hit by Miguel Velez to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sluggers ahead, 6-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Velez.

The triumph puts Louisville at 25-25 for the season.
