The rain did not keep Toledo and Texas from finishing their game.

The Toledo Mud Hens topped the Texas Gunfighters, 6-3, in Superior Conference action at Toledo Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Toledo pitcher Dorian Ivey. Jesus Palmeiro closed it out for his 16th save.

In the bottom of the seventh, Toledo first baseman Tsutomu Sato hit a 2-run single to left field. The clutch hit made it, 5-3, Mud Hens.

Sato called the win "a team effort."

The victory gives Toledo a record of 25-25.
