Snow Sox Score Late, Topple Rabbits, 3-2
|
Denver got a big-time effort from pitcher Clayton Lewis, but it wasn't enough to keep the Alaska Snow Sox from winning the game, 3-2. Lewis threw 7.2 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. The Snow Sox sit in last place in the Major Conference Central Division with a record of 25-28.
Alaska relied on the bat of Francisco Nunes to get the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Snow Sox ahead, 3-2. For the game, Nunes had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Nunes.
