Chicago Winds starter Peter Buchanon was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Las Vegas Gamblers, 4-3. With the win over Las Vegas, the Winds improved to 27-30.

Javier Soto dealt the Gamblers a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Chicago leading 2-0, Soto, who finished 3rd in the SC in extra base hits with 68 in 2016, hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single.

Soto called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
