Texas Gunfighters starter Cristobal Rangel was in fine form against the Chicago Winds at Ballpark of Texas, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Rangel, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Kent Shoemaker closed it out for his 2nd save.

The Gunfighters got a big at-bat from catcher Pedro Cantelar. For the game, Cantelar was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Texas a 3-2 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Cantelar told a Texas Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
