Sluggers Upend Gunfighters, 5-2

The Louisville Sluggers reigned over the Texas Gunfighters in damp conditions.
The Louisville Sluggers faced a tough opponent in Texas pitcher John Berg, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Texas by a final score of 5-2. Berg went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Chris Hall recorded the save, his 18th.
Melvin Walton, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Walton contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put Louisville up, 2-0.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Sluggers," said Walton.
The triumph puts Louisville at 31-28 for the season.
