The Texas Gunfighters picked up a win at Popcorn Dome, knocking off the Utah Utes, 5-1. On the mound for Texas was right-hander John Berg, who played a pivotal role in the win. The 4th-place Gunfighters have won 5 straight.

Texas used the timely hitting of Blake Graham to capture the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Gunfighters on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Utah manager Battle Trap.
