Winds Come up Short of Playoffs Monday, October 2nd , 2023 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Chicago Winds. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Winds manager Rocky Balboni. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." This is the 4th time in a row that the Winds have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2019. |
