Mars Deals Alfaro to Toledo for Thomas Wednesday, November 22nd , 2023 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Eyebiters announced today the acquisition of 24-year old LHP Chad Thomas from the Toledo Mud Hens in exchange for 26-year old RHP Evan Alfaro. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Eyebiters, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Over his career Alfaro has put up a 4.46 ERA and fanned 76 hitters in 74.2 innings. His record stands at 1-2 with no saves. Thomas has pitched in 30 games over his career, registering 1 save and a 4-3 won-lost mark. He has an ERA of 3.46 in 65 innings and 80 strikeouts. |
