Hernandez, McCall Swap Teams Saturday, December 9th , 2023 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Robins announced today the acquisition of 30-year old C Truman McCall from the Philadelphia Grays in exchange for 21-year old minor league SS Jose Hernandez. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Robins, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Philadelphia will retain a portion of McCall's remaining contract. McCall's career batting average stands at .212, and he has 37 home runs. |
