Deal: Alvarado for Perry Sunday, December 10th , 2023 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Detroit Devils and the Bay Area Bandits have agreed to a deal that will have 30-year old LF Jose Alvarado and 22-year old minor league RHP Albert López heading to Bay Area in exchange for 26-year old RHP Joe Perry and 22-year old minor league RHP Carlos Chávez. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Detroit will retain a portion of Alvarado's remaining contract. Alvarado is hitting the ball at a .243 clip over his career. In 1112 games he has delivered 946 hits, 184 home runs with 544 RBIs and scored 620 times. Thus far in his career, Perry has put up a won-loss record of 23-32. Lifetime he has an ERA of 3.57, struck out 460 batters and held opposing teams to a .253 batting average. |
