Spiders, Mud Hens Trade Players Wednesday, December 13th , 2023 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Spiders announced today the acquisition of 34-year old minor league RHP Barry Vasquez and 24-year old minor league RHP Rob Irwin from the Toledo Mud Hens in exchange for 24-year old minor league CF Ryan Perry. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Spiders, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Vasquez has appeared in 183 games and earned 3 saves over his career. His ledger sheet also shows 44 wins and 28 losses and a 3.72 ERA with 507 strikeouts in 626.1 innings. |
