Mud Hens-Robins Trade: Vázquez for Morris Wednesday, December 20th , 2023 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Mud Hens announced today the acquisition of 34-year old RF Wes Morris from the St. Louis Robins in exchange for 19-year old minor league CF Carlos Vázquez. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Mud Hens, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." St. Louis will retain a portion of Morris's remaining contract. During his 714-game career Morris has batted .261 and collected 653 hits, 62 home runs and 329 RBIs. |
