Rabbits Swap Lake to Seagulls for Hernandez Saturday, February 10th , 2024 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Denver Rabbits and the Toronto Seagulls have agreed to a deal that will have 25-year old RHP Jim Lake, 24-year old minor league 1B Wayne Gibbs, 25-year old RHP Wilson Cutright, 25-year old minor league CF Culley Clark, and 24-year old minor league RHP Jake Whitfield heading to Toronto in exchange for 30-year old RHP Carlos K Hernandez. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Toronto will retain a portion of Hernandez's remaining contract. In his career, Lake has crafted a 8-6 record with a 4.53 ERA in 105.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .250 against him and he has rung up 109 strikeouts. Hernandez has posted 64 victories and 58 defeats in his career with a 3.63 ERA. He also has fanned 1174 batters in 1070 innings and given up 944 hits. |
