Miami Trades Numbers for Texas's Nutkin Monday, February 12th , 2024 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Stars announced today the acquisition of 26-year old minor league 2B Billy Nutkin from the Texas Gunfighters in exchange for 30-year old minor league 2B Gary Numbers. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Stars, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Numbers currently has a career .217 batting average with 391 hits, good for 39 home runs, 179 RBIs and 180 runs. |
