Tapia Blisters Cleveland Thursday, April 4th , 2024 Juan Tapia got the glory and the headlines today, but the Cleveland Spiders left with the win. The Charlotte right fielder easily handled the Spiders pitching, going 5-for-7, but his Charlotte Hawks came out on the short end of the 8-6 score. Tapia told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Juan Tapia hit a three-run home run off Hunter Hunter in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, flied out in the 10th, singled in the 12th and hit an RBI single in the 14th.
