Charlotte Announces Tejawa Will Retire
Friday, April 12th , 2024
Miguel Tejawa of the Hawks is hanging it up. The veteran third baseman reportedly told team officials yesterday that he would not return for another season.

"The time has come for me to give up a game I love dearly, but the time is right. Baseball has been good for me and I hope I have been good for baseball."

"While we are disappointed Miguel will not be playing for us next year, I have a tremendous amount of respect for him and the way he went about this decision," said the Charlotte general manager.

Tejawa is hitting .264 during his 1260-game career. He has 1157 hits, 265 doubles, 15 triples, 189 home runs, 620 RBIs, 2 stolen bases and 575 runs scored.
