Cobra-Hawks Trade: Gonzalez for Cook Jr. Tuesday, July 30th , 2024 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the New York Cobra and the Charlotte Hawks have agreed to a deal that will have 20-year old minor league 3B Ryan Lester and 25-year old minor league LF Reynaldo Gonzalez heading to Charlotte in exchange for 27-year old RHP Steve Cook Jr.. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. To date this year Cook Jr. has won 1 and lost 2 with a 3.63 ERA, no saves and 55 strikeouts in 24 relief appearances. |
