Phong's Condition Worse, Suffers Another Setback Thursday, August 22nd , 2024 Philadelphia Grays shortstop Chinh Phong got another setback today. His doctors informed him that his injury was not responding to treatment as well as they hoped and that he would need more time to rehabilitate. If all goes well, they expect Phong to be ready to go within 2 weeks. He told BNN, "I didn't expect a strained rib cage muscle to take this long to heal." Looking at his season stats, Phong has compiled a .232 batting average and a .327 on-base percentage, while hitting 36 home runs and driving in 78 runs. |
