Hits Blitz for Knights Burrows Monday, September 23rd , 2024 Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Gambler Field. Tim Burrows of the New York Knights accomplished the feat against Las Vegas Gamblers. Burrows went 5-for-5 with 1 single, 2 doubles, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 6-4 New York victory. "That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Burrows said after the game. Burrows also scored 2 runs and had 3 runs batted in in a day to remember for both Burrows and the crowd at Gambler Field. Tim Burrows singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Raul Vargas in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
