5-Hit Barrage by Lilly

Bobby Lilly told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what Lilly of the Augusta Atlantics did against the Lakewood Snipers. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a 4-1 defeat.
"Not much I can say," offered Lilly in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?"
Bobby Lilly singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Lilly has batted at a .429 pace with 21 hits, 1 home run, 8 RBIs and scored 8 times.
