Isotopes Send Toledo Home with 8-6 Loss
|
Springfield and Toledo duked it out and the Isotopes came out victorious.
Jose Gonsales helped his team muscle past the Toledo Mud Hens, 8-6. In the game, the Springfield third baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Springfield goes to 36-35, Toledo to 46-26.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Isotopes grabbed the lead when Gonsales hit his 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Manuel Olmos made it 8-6, Springfield.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Gonsales said.
