A good performance from third baseman Oliver Davis helped the Texas Gunfighters defeat the Miami Stars, 6-3. Davis went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Gunfighters. Michael Henry was the winner. Over 7.2 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts. Miami now has a record of 5-3.

Texas took a 6-1 lead on Davis's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Juan Coronado in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Texas to the win.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Gunfighters manager Gregory Godwin.
