The 6-2 Springfield win over Mars was due in large part to Maxwell Hood. The Isotopes right fielder was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Jesus Angel Rubio notched his 3rd save in 3 chances. The loss makes Mars 27-49.

Beau Reid hit a 2-run home run off Shoiab Sistani in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Isotopes ahead, 4-2. In addition to the homer, Reid had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Hood.
