The New York Knights reigned over the Miami Stars in damp conditions.

The New York Knights defeated the Miami Stars, 9-2, at New York Grounds. Casey Robinson, the 18th overall pick in the 2016 draft, was a standout performer for New York. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 2 he knocked in. New York is now 44-52, Miami 56-37.

Tommy Gilmore had a big 3-run home run for the Knights in the bottom of the second inning. With New York trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Marlon Lewis, who leads the SC in complete games with 1, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 15th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knights ahead, 3-2.
