Boston Beaneaters starter Larry Moody turned in a top-notch performance against the Springfield Isotopes at Duff Field. The result was a win for the Beaneaters, 10-0. The winner was Moody. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Kris Todd. Springfield now has a record of 4-7.

Boston designated hitter Manny Ortez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Beaneaters ahead, 2-0.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Moody.
