Flores Helps Hollywood Cruise to 12-3 Win
The Hollywood B's downed the Los Angeles Shockers, 12-3, at Bee Hive. Tony Flores led the way, going 3-for-4 for Hollywood. John Owens, the winner, is now 1-0. He struck out 4 and walked 3 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. Mark McCaffery picked up the save, his 2nd.

Wes Smith went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Hollywood. The four-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Gary Smith. It was his 9th hit of the season.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Flores.

The loss drops Los Angeles to 8-4.
