Gunfighters Rack Up 4-3 Win Versus Phoenix
|
Sergio Ramirez had a good game, but he could not keep the Phoenix Autobots from falling, 4-3, to the Texas Gunfighters at Ballpark of Texas. The Phoenix designated hitter was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. The winning pitcher was Michael Henry. His record now stands at 3-0. The right-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits for the Gunfighters. Johnny Simpson earned the save, his 1st, for the Gunfighters.
Wade Meyer dealt the Autobots a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Texas leading 2-0, Meyer, who led the MC in batting average with .317 in 2024, hit a 0-1 slider for a 2-run single.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Meyer, "one at-bat at a time."
With the loss, Phoenix sinks to 6-7.
