Green Day registered a win at Devils Stadium by beating the Detroit Devils, 3-2. Pitcher Nate Brown was one reason why the Dukes triumphed. Brown, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks.

With two out in the top of the eighth, Luis Sanchez had a game-changing hit. The Dukes third baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Henry James, making the score 3-0, Green Day.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Detroit manager Hokualohi Keohi.

Detroit, with the loss, is 5-8.
