Guiney Lifts Sluggers to 9-5 Triumph
The Louisville Sluggers grabbed a win, 9-5, over the Mars Eyebiters at Mars Field. Louisville third baseman Mitch Guiney went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win was credited to 27-year old right-handed pitcher Don Carr in relief. His record improves to 3-6. Shoiab Sistani took the loss. The Sluggers improved their record to 54-85 with the win over Mars.

With Louisville trailing 5-4 in the top of the ninth, Guiney hit a fastball from Shoiab Sistani for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Sluggers ahead, 8-5.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Guiney.
