Decepticons Get 8-0 Win Versus Hollywood
The Portland Decepticons defeated the Hollywood B's, 8-0, in Major Conference action at ConDome. Vincent MacElheran pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran slugged 2 home runs. Juan Nieto, who finished 2nd in the MC in strikeouts with 306 in 2021, was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was Mark McCaffery. Matt Johnson picked up the save, his 1st.

One pivotal at-bat came with one out in the top of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Hollywood trailing 2-0, Juan Nieto needed to bear down against Tom Chaisson. Nieto won the battle, as Chaisson lined out and the Decepticons went on to win.
