The Las Vegas Gamblers spoiled a good performance by Mars shortstop Trevor Wood, bumping off Mars, 7-5, at Gambler Field. Wood was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Las Vegas reliever Hazom Kasapoglu picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Dale Haynes took the loss. The loss drops Mars to 4-11.

Jose Canusee hit a run-scoring double off Dale Haynes in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Gamblers in front, 6-5. In addition to the double, Canusee had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Canusee told the Las Vegas Daily News.
