The Cleveland Spiders picked up a win at Cleveland Grounds, topping the Phoenix Autobots, 1-0. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander Hunter Hunter. He played a principal role in the triumph. Cleveland reliever Rafael Romero snagged the win, upping his record to 1-2. Jorge D. Garcia shouldered the loss. With the loss, Phoenix falls to 7-10.

The decisive blow was delivered by Arturo Brito in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 34-year old left-handed pitcher Jorge D. Garcia to win the game for Cleveland. The home crowd went nuts.

"Hunter was lights-out," said Phoenix manager John Cooper.
