Crespo Stars for Rabbits in 13-7 Win
|
Rabbits designated hitter Bob Crespo left his imprint on his team's 13-7 win over the Green Day Dukes. Crespo went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Denver in the contest. The Rabbits bumped their record to 89-71 with this win.
Carl McKinley had a big grand slam home run for the Rabbits in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Denver leading 6-5 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Mario Reyes and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Rabbits on top, 10-5.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," McKinley told the Denver Times. "But we take nothing for granted."
