Enrique Rocha pitched well, but the Florida Penguins still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Philadelphia Grays at Ballpark of Philadelphia. Cromwell McGee was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 13 save opportunities. The last-place Penguins have dropped 4 straight games.
The Grays got a big at-bat from second baseman Julio Lopez. For the game, Lopez was 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 18th double of the season gave Philadelphia a 2-1 lead.
"Nice win for us," said Lopez. "Now we'll go after the next one."
