The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.
Tom Weaver, who leads the MC with a 15.6 K/9 rate, propelled his team to victory over the Florida Penguins. The final score was 3-2, Philadelphia. Philadelphia reliever Ivan Perez got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Bob Williams was tagged with the loss.
Kelsey Lester was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Grays pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I just made my pitches," said Weaver, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
