Both teams had their chances, but the Philadelphia Grays eventually prevailed.

Philadelphia catcher Jose Gomez made his presence felt in the 5-4 Grays triumph over the New York Cobra. Gomez was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. New York is now 10-6.

With Philadelphia trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Gomez hit a slider from Carson Olsen for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Grays ahead, 4-3.

Said Philadelphia manager Mark Roberts: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
