Wrigley Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Charlotte Hawks and Chicago Winds.
Charlotte ruined an otherwise fine effort from Jason Curling by toppling Chicago, 4-3. The Chicago pitcher threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The save was credited to Adrian Banuelos, his 8th.
Juan Tapia hit a 2-run triple off Mark Hunter in the top of the ninth, which put the Hawks in front, 4-3. In addition to the triple, Tapia had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Tapia.
With the loss, Chicago is 8-8.
