Louisville third baseman Tyler Crawford helped his team beat the Chicago Winds, 11-5. Crawford went 2 for 2 for the Sluggers. Tomas Sanchez, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 2-2. The Sluggers with just their 6th win in 23 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

Crawford contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Louisville in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 4-3, Crawford took a forkball from Jason Curling and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Sluggers to leap in front, 7-4.

Crawford told a Louisville Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
