The Denver Rabbits had to overcome a fine effort from Orlando pitcher John Wilson to win, 3-1, at Carpet Kingdom. Wilson went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Brandon Sanders collected save number 2. Denver goes to 2-1.

Denver used a clutch at-bat from Michael Stewart to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rabbits ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We take it day by day here," said Stewart, "and today was a good one for us."
