Reid Hits 2 home runs in Isotopes Win
|
The timely hitting of Beau Reid helped the Springfield Isotopes down the Las Vegas Gamblers, 8-4. Reid hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Isotopes. Kris Todd got the win, improving to 2-2. He worked 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Marcelino Lopez closed the game out for Springfield, earning his 8th save.
Brienne Tarth, who finished 4th in the SC in home runs with 43 in 2024, took Las Vegas hurler Jon Henderson deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Isotopes on top, 4-1. In all, Tarth had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Tarth told a Springfield Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The loss lowers the Las Vegas record to 11-13.
