Knights Win, 5-3, at Miami

New York first baseman Kenny Bowden had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Miami Stars, 5-3. New York reliever Harry Archer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Juan Coronado took the loss. Luis Castrillon picked up his 7th save of the season.
Bowden had a timely hit for New York in the top of the seventh. With New York trailing 3-1, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 4-3, New York.
"I'm proud to wear a New York jersey," Bowden told the New York Herald. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
Miami is 16-10 after the loss.
