The Toledo Mud Hens overcame a pretty good performance by Baltimore designated hitter Cale Black, beating the Colts, 2-1, at Ballpark of Baltimore. Black was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. The winner in relief was Manuel Olmos. He is now 2-1. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Steve Greer closed it out for his 7th save.

Toledo used the timely hitting of Broderick Jordan to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mud Hens on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We've got a great group of guys," Jordan said, "and we're having fun right now."

Toledo goes to 18-9.
