The New York Knights and Boston Beaneaters played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

James Walker propelled his team to victory over the Boston Beaneaters. The final score was 3-2, New York. Luis Castrillon earned the save for New York, his 8th of the year.

New York shortstop Julio Benitez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 18th hit of the season and put the Knights ahead, 2-0.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Walker.

The loss puts Boston at 15-12.
